New Cell Tower on Chambers

Last May (2008), the site for a new Cell Tower was surveyed on the Island. Previoulsy, cell phones had difficulty reaching a tower from within the Island. All that should change with the new tower.

The tower is now completed, with 32 solear panels and one wind generator.

The new site is very near the East Dock and the new marina and should provide coverage for any place on the Island.

The project was finished this late Fall of 2008.
